Welcome
The annual Leyland Chess Club Rapidplay is organised by members of Leyland Chess Congress and is held around the third weekend in February. The congress is a one day, six round event. The congress is aimed at the lower graded players and has grading limits. The congress is an ECF Game Fee event.

Venue
The Leyland Hotel is just a few 100 yards from junction 28 of the M6. From the North or South, leave the M6 Motorway at Junction 28. Turn left onto Leyland Way and head into Leyland. The Leyland Hotel is on the left in a few hundred yards.

The venue is a 15 minute walk from the train station.

Gradings

The current ECF Rapidplay Grading List will be used to determine a player’s grade.
For players who do not appear in the Rapidplay List, other lists may be used at the discretion of the organisers.
Ungraded players must provide evidence for the organisers to assess their playing strength and any previous known grade must be declared.

Rate of Play
All moves in 30 minutes.
